Science TREK Ideas
Okay, so there are two main things I want to do for next year's Science TREK: make thermite and a particle accelerator.
As for the first part, we can probably score some Iron (II) Oxide and Potassium Permanganate by mixing stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's Hardware.
The Particle accelerator is gonna be a bit harder, since we need a crap load of money, tools,
and time. It would be interesting to make a cyclot ron or betatron by October. All we need is a bucnh of old CRT parts and a high voltage charger, like a huge Van deGraff Generator. A negative ion generator wouldn't hurt either, that way you get a tingle when you get close.
I've got the schematics all ready, anyone wanna donate $800-$1000? It's for a good cause, I promise.
